Well Logging

Prerequisite: ENG34 2107 Rock and Fluid Properties

Study the process to logging the well and how to interpret the logging data from well logging tools. Calculate the parameter getting from well logging to evaluate the formation in petroleum drilling well.

Learning outcomes

1. Understand and explain the fundamental principles of logging tools to measure the rock and fluid properties in formation.
2. Calculate the related parameters getting from well logging data to evaluate the potential of formation to be petroleum pay zone.
