Remote Sensing Geology
Prerequisite: ENG34 2104 Structural Geology
Theoretical background in remote sensing, applications of remote sensing data and satellite images in rock and mineral exploration and structural geology identification, laboratory practice and field work.
Learning outcomes
- Explain the principles and basic knowledge of remote sensing explorations clearly.
- Identify steps and methods for finding problem results by applying information obtained from remote sensing and satellite imagery in exploring rocks, minerals, and classifying geological structure characteristics.
- Solve problems in rock and mineral exploration and structural geology identification by using data obtained from remote sensing under various limitations in an appropriate and reasonable manner.
