Principles of Management

Prerequisite:     none

                      Definition and importance of business, forms of businesses, the internal and external influences on business activities in both Thailand and other countries, the effects of business on society, the importance of SMEs, business functions, covering marketing, production, organization management. Introduction to laws, person and property, juristic acts, contract, obligation, wrongful acts, sale, hire of property, hire purchase, surety ship, pledge, mortgage, bills and cheques, partnership, limited company, shares, stock exchange, electronic commerce and unfair contract terms.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

1. Explain evolution of management concepts and theories.
2. Describe the changing environment that effect organization and management.
3. Explain managerial roles and functions, covering planning, problem-solving, organizing, staffing, leading and controlling in contemporary organizations.
4. Take responsibility for team projects.
5. Communicate and present the management report both oral and written forms.
