หลักเบื้องต้นของออกแบบ ขั้นตอนการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ และการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์พลาสติกสำหรับการใช้งานด้านต่างๆ ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์กับกระบวนการขึ้นรูปพอลิเมอร์ การใช้โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ช่วยในการออกแบบ และการสร้างชิ้นงานต้นแบบแบบรวดเร็ว รวมถึงการออกแบบเพื่อสิ่งแวดล้อม พอลิเมอร์กลุ่มต่างๆ  สมบัติของพอลิเมอร์ หลักเบื้องต้นของการเลือกสรรวัสดุ แผนภาพการเลือกสรรวัสดุ ดัชนีวัสดุ เศรษฐศาสตร์การเลือกวัสดุ การเลือกวัสดุที่คำนึงถึงสิ่งแวดล้อม

ผลสัมฤทธิ์การเรียนรู้

                    เมื่อสิ้นสุดการเรียนรายวิชานี้ นักศึกษาจะมีความสามารถด้านต่าง ๆ ต่อไปนี้

  1. สามารถเสนอแนวทางการออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์ให้มีความสอดคล้องกับหลักการขึ้นรูป สิ่งแวดล้อม และเศรษฐศาสตร์
  2. สามารถเลือกใช้ดัชนีวัสดุ แผนภาพการคัดสรรวัสดุที่เหมาะสมเพื่อเสนอแนวทางการคัด สรรวัสดุโดยคำนึงถึงปัจจัยทางสิ่งแวดล้อมและเศรษฐศาสตร์
  3. สามารถออกแบบผลิตภัณฑ์อย่างง่าย เลือกวัสดุที่เหมาะสม และแนวทางการทดสอบ สมบัติ สำหรับผลิตภัณฑ์ที่กำหนดในแง่สิ่งแวดล้อมและเศรษฐศาสตร์ผ่านโครงงานกลุ่มขนาดเล็ก

Plastic Product Design and Materials Selection

Prerequisite:  ENG28 3107 Polymeric Materials

Principle of product design and design process; Product design for various types of applications; The relationship between product design and polymer processing; Computer-aided design; Rapid prototyping; Product design for environment; Groups of polymers and polymer properties; Basic principle of materials selection; Materials selection charts and material indices; economics and environmental concerning materials selection.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Able to propose the product design concerning polymer processing, environment and economics
  2. Able to use suitable material index and material selection chart for selecting plastic material concerning environmental and economic factors
  3. Able to design simple product, suggest testing methods for a given product in terms of mechanical properties, environment and economics via small project.
