วิชาพื้นฐานทางแผนภาพเฟสของระบบสารประกอบทางเซรามิก ประกอบด้วย องค์ประกอบชนิดเดียว สองชนิดและสามชนิด โดยเน้นระบบออกไซด์ที่น่าสนใจของสารประกอบเซรามิกบางชนิดรวมไปถึงสารประกอบระหว่างกลาง สารละลายของแข็ง และของเหลวผสมที่เข้ากันไม่ได้

ผลสัมฤทธิ์การเรียนรู้

1. เข้าใจและอ่านแผนภาพเฟสได้ รวมทั้งสามารถคำนวณปริมาณของแต่ละเฟสนั้นๆ ได้
2. คาดการณ์ขั้นตอนการตกผลึกของสารในระหว่างการปล่อยให้เย็นตัวได้
3. สามารถประยุกต์ใช้ความรู้เรื่องแผนภาพเฟส ในงานวิจัยและพัฒนาทางด้านการสังเคราะห์วัสดุ

Phase Diagrams of Ceramics          

Prerequisite : ENG26 2001 Introduction to Ceramic Engineering

Basic principles of ceramic phase diagram based on one component, two components and three components systems with special emphasis on other oxide systems of some ceramic compounds including intermediate compounds, solid solution and liquid immiscibility.

Learning outcomes

1. Understand and interpret the phase diagrams including calculate the amount of each phase.
2. Predict the phases present during the cooling path.
3. Apply this knowledge to the R&D in material synthesis.
