Petroleum Technology for Engineers

Prerequisite:  ENG25 2080 Fluid Mechanics I and ENG30 2002 Mechanics of Materials I

An introduction to the various aspects of petroleum industry for engineers including equipment, systems, instrumentation, operations, and the various scientific principles. Addresses a variety of petroleum technologies: exploration, drilling, production, transportation, marketing, and chemical processing industries.

Learning outcomes

1. Describe processes and origin of petroleum.
2. Addresses a variety of petroleum drilling and reservoir evaluation.
3. Analyze the components and procedure of various aspects of petroleum industry for engineers.
