Petroleum Production Operations

Prerequisite: ENG34 3112 Drilling Engineering

Well completion, subsurface and surface completion equipment, tubing design, casing design, cementing, packer, perforation, well head equipment and flow control equipment, formation damage, workover hydraulic, fracturing and acidizing.

Learning outcomes

1. Identify problems that require production operations to solve and demonstrate understanding of the context of the problem.
2. Solve problems in production operations under various limitations in an appropriate and reasonable manner.
3. Identify constraints on the studied production operation problems and establish criteria for acceptability and desirability of solutions.
