Petroleum Industry

Basic knowledge about the petroleum industry Basic principles of petroleum origin, migration, and accumulation in petroleum systems. Basic principles, processes, and techniques of exploration, drilling, production, transportation, and storage of petroleum. Natural gas separation and crude oil refining in the petroleum industry. Basic knowledge about petroleum products and marketing of crude oil and natural gas.

Learning outcomes

1. Identify the differences between petroleum industry careers.
2. Understand and explain the basic principles of petroleum origin, migration, and accumulation in the petroleum systems.
3. Understand and explain the basic principles, processes, and techniques of petroleum exploration, drilling, production, transportation, storage equipment, natural gas separation, and refining of crude oil in the petroleum industry.
4. Classify and describe types of petroleum products and marketing of the petroleum industry.
