Mineralogy

Prerequisite: None

Introduction to crystallography, element and compound of minerals, crystallization, physical and optical properties of minerals, Igneous rock and silicate group, mineral group in sedimentary rocks, and metamorphic rocks, and mineral usage.

Learning outcomes

1. Identify minerals by their physical properties.
2. Identify minerals by their optical properties.
3. Explain the forming process of silicate group in igneous rocks.
4. Explain the forming process of silicate group in sedimentary rocks.
