ทฤษฎีพื้นฐานของกระบวนการผลิตชิ้นส่วนโลหะ ได้แก่ การขึ้นรูปทางกล การตัดเฉือนโลหะ การหล่อโลหะ การขึ้นรูปจากผงโลหะ การปรับปรุงสมบัติของโลหะผสมด้วยกรรมวิธีทางความร้อน กระบวนการปรับปรุงพื้นผิว ตัวแปรกระบวนการผลิตและการคำนวณ ข้อบกพร่องจากกระบวนการผลิตและการป้องกัน การเลือกกระบวนการผลิตที่เหมาะสม

1. สามารถอธิบายหลักการของกระบวนการผลิตชิ้นส่วนโลหะแบบต่างๆ ได้
2. สามารถระบุจุดเด่น ข้อจำกัด ของกระบวนการผลิตชิ้นส่วนโลหะแบบต่างๆ ได้
3. สามารถอธิบายหลักการและขั้นตอนของกระบวนการอบชุบทางความร้อนที่สำคัญ เช่น การอบอ่อน การอบปกติ และ การชุบแข็ง
4. สามารถออกแบบกระบวนการผลิตชิ้นส่วนโลหะภายใต้สภาวะหรือข้อกำหนดการทางวิศวกรรมต่างๆ ได้
5. สามารถบ่งประเภทข้อบกพร่องของกระบวนการผลิตชิ้นส่วนโลหะแบบต่างๆ ได้

Manufacturing of Metal Parts and Structures I

Prerequisite: None

Basic theories of manufacturing processes for metal parts such as forming by mechanical loading, metal cutting, metal casting, powder metallurgy; property enhancement for metal alloys by heat treatments; surface treatment processes; processing parameters and their calculations; defects from manufacturing processes and preventions; selections of suitable manufacturing methods.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):

1. Explain principles of various manufacturing processes for metal parts.
2. Explain advantages and limitations of each metal manufacturing process.
3. Explain principles of important heat treatment i.e., annealing, normalizing and hardening.
4. Design manufacturing processes of metal parts under specific conditions or engineering requirements.
5. Identify defects formed during manufacturing processes.
