Introductory Geological Engineering

Prerequisite:   none

Introduction to soil engineering, geohydrology, rock engineering, laboratory testing of rocks, rock slope engineering, foundation on rock, tunneling and underground mines, site investigation, data collection and statistical analysis, in-situ measurements, and monitoring.

1. Classify the characteristic of geological engineering work
2. Explain basic geologic factors of geological engineering work
3. Identify the geological engineering problems
4. Ability to solve the geological engineering problems by applying principles of engineering and geology
