Introduction to Blockchain Technology

Concept and fundamentals of blockchain technology, its use cases, public and permissioned blockchains, distributed ledger technology, cryptocurrencies, digital tokens, consensus mechanisms, blockchain security and smart contract

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)

Students are able to describe the concept of blockchain technology, distributed ledger technology, cryptocurrencies, digital tokens, consensus mechanisms, blockchain security and smart contract. Students are able to identify use cases that are suitable for different types of major blockchain technology. Students are able to build a simple blockchain network and write smart contracts.
