Inspection Engineering

Prerequisite: ENG34 3112 Drilling Engineering

The definition of material inspection for petroleum industry, Classifications of material and pipe using for petroleum industry, the material and pipe standard in petroleum industry based on API standard. The inspection types and process. The examples of inspection results, the ways to analyze the inspection results and the how to manage the damaged material and pipe.

Learning outcomes

1. Explain the classification of material and pipe using for petroleum industry.
2. Explain the standard for pipe and material to be used in petroleum industry.
3. Understand and explain the types and methods to inspect the material and pipe both destructive and non-destructive material methods.
4. Analyze and present the way to fix or manage the damaged pipe and material after inspected.
5. Follow the rules and course requirements and be responsible for assigned tasks.
