General Geology Laboratory

Prerequisite: ENG34 2101 General Geology or study concurrently

Mineral identification by its physical properties, mineral and rock-forming mineral classification, rock identification, topographic map and geologic map usage, compass, and GPS techniques.

Learning outcomes

1. Test and classify the mineral properties by its physical properties.
2. Classify the rocks following their physical characteristics.
3. Read and interpret the topographic map and geologic map.
4. Use compass and GPS.
