An introduction to Earth’s internal structure, processes within and at the surface of the Earth. Description, classification, and origin of minerals and rocks. The rock cycle. Internal
processes; volcanism, earthquakes, crustal deformation, mountain building, plate tectonics. External processes: weathering mass-wasting, streams, groundwater, glaciers, deserts, coasts.
