Definitions and standards for food products and food manufacturing process. Laws and regulatory requirements for food products: Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, canned food regulations, low-acid canned food products regulations. Legal and scientific issues in regulating the food supply and nutritional status. Regulations for food manufacturing process
Learning Outcomes
After complete this course, students will be able to:
1. Describe the importance of food law and regulations for food processing
2. Apply food law and regulations to food processing and food automation systems.
