Field Work
Prerequisite: ENG34 3109 Lithology and ENG34 3125 Remote Sensing Geology or study concurrently
Preparation of geological map and cross section, preparation and submission of geological report. Practical work in geological survey and mapping while considering the morals, ethics, environmental impacts and economics.
Learning outcomes
- Integrate the cooperation of all team members and make decisions about the criteria or objectives of geological survey and mapping, preparation of geological map and
cross section, preparation and submission of geological report.
- Recognize participant roles in a team setting of fulfills appropriate roles to assure team success.
- Write the field wok report in accordance with the appropriate technical writing style and grammar for audiences to use.
- Appropriate use of graphics in the field wok report.
- Oral presents the results of field work and use body language clearly, allowing for effective communication.
- Identify environmental and social issues related to field work results and incorporate these sensitivities into designs to prevent potential adverse effects.
