Contract Specification and Cost Estimating
Prerequisite: none
Type of construction contract, contract laws, legal systems, basic laws for construction engineers, engineering code of conduct, engineering act. Specifications Listing; principle of construction Estimation; detail estimate; price bid form: material and labor cost of earth works, foundation works, concrete works, reinforcing bars, formwork, include architectural and building systems; legal liability.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
1. Understand types of construction contract and construction laws.
2. Understand techniques and be able to make a list of material quantities from construction drawings.
3. Estimate construction cost from list of materials and labors and make list of materials from construction drawing breakdown.
4. Able to make bid documents and contracts.
