Computer Application for Geotechnical Engineering
Prerequisite: ENG59 3321 Soil Engineering and Design
Geotechnical problem solving; numerical method; finite element analysis of flow of water soil, consolidation, stress and strain; the use of computer software in geotechnical analysis and design.
Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs)
1. Understand and be able to apply numerical and finite element method to geotechnical problems.
2. Understand and be able to apply commercial software packages in geotechnical problems.
