Prerequisite : ENG26 2001  Introduction to Ceramic Engineering

Principles and related equipment for fabrication processes in both conventional and advanced ceramic industries. Selection and preparation of raw materials for fabrication; measurement and control of processing parameters for product quality. Root causes and solutions in ceramic fabrication processes.

Learning outcomes

1. Explain fabrication processes in the ceramic industries and select appropriate raw materials for ceramics.
2. Explain the principles of equipment in ceramic fabrication processes.
3. Explain the role of the variables on fabrication processes and quality control of both conventional and advanced ceramics.
