วิชาบังคับก่อน : IST30 1103 ภาษาอังกฤษเพื่อวัตถุประสงค์ทางวิชาการ

พัฒนาทักษะและความสามารถทางภาษาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเนื้อหาทางวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีจัดประสบการณ์ตรงในการเรียนภาษาที่ใช้จริงในวงการวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี จากสื่อสิ่งพิมพ์และสื่อโสตทัศน์ รวมทั้งแหล่งทรัพยากรออนไลน์ เน้นชิ้นงานที่ผู้เรียนต้องบูรณาการทักษะทั้งสี่ด้าน โดยให้ความสำคัญกับทักษะการอ่านและการเขียน

ผลสัมฤทธิ์การเรียนรู้

1. สามารถอ่าน วิเคราะห์และอภิปรายเนื้อหาในบทความภาษาอังกฤษทางด้านวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี (ดัชนีชี้วัดสมรรถนะ 3.1)
2. เข้าใจกระบวนการเขียนและสามารถนำข้อมูลจากแหล่งต่าง ๆ มาประยุกต์ใช้ในการเขียนเชิงวิเคราะห์ได้อย่างประสิทธิภาพ (ดัชนีชี้วัดสมรรถนะ 3.1)
3. มีทักษะการทำงานเป็นกลุ่มในบริบทของการอ่านเฉพาะทางได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ (ดัชนีชี้วัดสมรรถนะ 3.1)
4. สามารถใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศเพื่อสืบค้นข้อมูลที่เกี่ยวข้องกับวิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยี (ดัชนีชี้วัดสมรรถนะ 7.2)

 

English for Specific Purposes

Prerequisite : IST30 1103 English for Academic Purposes

Further enhancement of students’ language skills and ability in science and technology content; exposure to authentic language in science and technology from both printed and audiovisual materials, as well as online resources; focus on text-based tasks involving integrated skills with an emphasis on reading and writing

Learning Outcomes

1. Read, analyze and discuss content in English articles on science and technology. (PI 3.1)
2. Understand the writing process and be able to apply information from various sources to analytical writing effectively. (PI 3.1)
3. Have group work skills in specialized reading contexts effectively. (PI 3.1)
4. Use information technology to search for information related to science and technology. (PI 7.2)
