Information Technology for Construction Management

Prerequisite : Consent of the School

Data structure and relational database management system; expert system and decision support system; integrated corporation tools; MRP i, MRP ii, ERP, IFC; knowledge management and artificial intelligence; stochastic simulation; object-oriented programming: VBA; CAD nD; contemporary software package for construction engineering.

Learning Outcomes

1. To understand the data structures and the database system of construction projects.
2. Be able to develop customize program for construction management via VBA.
3. To review the development history of CAD n-Dimension.
4. To review the development history of Building Information Model (BIM).
