Theoretical Soil Mechanics
Prerequisite : Consent of the School
Soil formation and soil constituents; clay mineral and soil-water interaction; physical properties and soils classification; fabric and soil structure; effective stress concept; engineering properties such as seepage, consolidation, and shear strength and deformation.
Learning Outcomes
Students gain knowledge on physical properties and engineering properties of soils and effective stress concept.
