Polymer Characterization

Prerequisite : none

Introduction to separation and extraction; qualitative and quantitative characterization of polymeric materials using UV and IR spectroscopies, microscopic techniques (OM, SEM, and TEM); Determination of molecular weight and components of polymeric materials using chromatographic techniques (SEC and HPLC); Determination of thermal properties of polymeric materials using thermal analyzers (DSC and TGA)
