Statistics for Environmental Engineers

Prerequisite:   None

Characteristics of environmental quality data; data collection; data analysis and
presentation; probability distribution; estimation; hypothesis testing; analysis of variance; regression analysis and correlation; application of statistics in environmental engineering works.

Learning outcomes

1. Can explain fundamentals of statistics necessary for environmental engineering works.
2. Can correctly and appropriately use statistics as a tool for collecting, analyzing, making conclusions, and presenting environmental data.
3. Can use computer software to assist in statistical analyses.
4. Have the responsibility and the teamwork ability.
