SCI02 1115 Principles of Chemistry
General principles and theories in organic chemistry, structures, nomenclature, physical properties, syntheses, and reactions in brief of alkanes and cycloalkanes, alkenes and alkynes, aromatic compounds, alkyl halides, alcohols and ethers, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, and amines as well as stereochemistry of organic compounds.
Learning outcomes
- Gain knowledge and understanding of general principles and theories in organic chemistry, structures, nomenclature, physical properties, syntheses, and reactions in brief of alkanes and cycloalkanes, alkenes and alkynes, aromatic compounds, alkyl halides, alcohols and ethers, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids and their derivatives, and amines as well as stereochemistry of organic compounds
