Project in Concrete Technology

Prerequisite:   none

Study about the properties of concrete including Portland cement, aggregates, water and admixtures; mixt design process including mixing, pouring, compaction, and curing; properties of fresh concrete and hardened concrete in terms of strength and durability; concrete monitoring and reporting; quality control and concrete standards.

Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs):

1. Understand materials used in concrete production such as cement, aggregate, water, additives.
2. Design concrete mixes to be usable.
3. Use concrete with the highest efficiency.
4. Conduct non-destructive testing of concrete structures
5. Apply knowledge from theory to practice.
